what size and thread pitch is the outlet fitting on the stock style fuel pumps? i know it uses a flare fitting, but i'm trying to convert to AN lines and need to know what male to male adapter to source.
Does your fuel pump have an integral filter on the bottom of it?
If it does the outlet has a replaceable fitting that, on the pump, is 1/8 FPT.
The fitting itself is 1/8" MPT X 5/16" inverted flare. I don't have my books handy right now, I'm in the middle of a road trip so I can't say for sure what the actual thread size is.
EDIT:
I did a quick lookup on a chart I have and it says that a 5/16" inverted flare uses a 1/2"-20 thread like fmc400 said.
i suppose. you said 1/2" x 20, but the threads on the fitting i pulled off are 7/16" x 24. i was curious if there was some variation in the fitting over the years?
i probably should have mentioned it is on a 460, and it does not have the integrated filter on the bottom like the FE in your picture (i have one of those on the 390 in my bird so I do know the difference).
