Fuel pump fitting size
I have a 78 F-150 4x4 with a 351M. Can anyone tell me the thread size of the fitting that holds the 5/16" line to the fuel pump? I would like to upgrade to 3/8" line, but I need the correct size of this fitting. Thanks!

depends on the pump, they come in different sizes and even two from the same company can have different threads. i just replaced my carter with a new carter and the threads were smaller in the new one so i had to make a trip back to the parts store for a different fitting! (the part that surprised me is both pumps have the same part number stamped on them!). not knowing what brand or model pump you have there is no way to know what size fitting you need, and even if we had all the info we could still be wrong! hawkrod
