Brighter Headlights
The lights damn well suck at night, and being a daily driver it's starting to irk me more and more. I can't help but wonder when I'll hit something like a pothole I wasn't able to see until the very last second.
I want brighter lights, but I'm a bit challenged in the electrical department. It's never been my forte. I've been considering even going 6000k HID, but is that possible in this truck? Or would something much more simple like LMC's 4100k "Superwhite Bulb Set" (P/N 47-0293) be a better option for me?
Money isn't an issue, assuming it's no more than I'd say $800. You guys probably know more than I do. Help me out here! I'm not picky about keeping the vintage dim yellow look of old headlights. This is my daily. Sometimes, function is a little more important than form.
Thanks!

good luck no matter what you decide to do....
In installed these and saw a huge improvement: Sylvania Xtravision
Sylvania XtraVision Halogen Sealed Beam H6024 XV: Buy the right Headlight Bulb - Dual Beam at Advance Auto Parts#
They make a Silverstar that is even brighter.
The side to side light is far better than anything I've ever used in a sealed beam.
Then I installed a 3g alternator and saw another improvement.
I'm not the best at wiring so I ordered a relay kit from CE Auto Electric and saw another improvement.
CE Auto Electric Supply - Headlight Relay Kits
You could do the relay kit for much cheaper but I know CE uses quality parts. LMC sells this kit for half the cost but they don't use the same parts.
I plan to do this to my old '55 next.

Used to be a kid in a late 90's Chevy truck running around with those blue lights and he ran around everyday with his high beams on. It was crazy blinding and I was near using a hammer to eliminate them premanently if I ever caught him parked.
The worst I had growing up was the old yellow fog lights(aka cruising lights). Nothing like these projector lights.
