I know this has been probably covered a thousand times but I am going to start this so I can get the feedback where I can find it. I have a beautiful 95 f150 I just got but the headlights are so dim it is hard to see and I want to upgrade to LED for both headlights and tail lights. I want to know where you reccomend getting them and as someone who is still newer to the car scene in general will I need anything more then the new units.
I haven't seen any street legal LED bulbs for the headlights. I would start by working with what you have and going from there. A tremendous difference can be made by simply upgrading the wiring. There is a current discussion on the topic here... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-options.html
There's my LED headlights. Currently out for warranty repair.
As far as being street legal, it's technically illegal to replace your halogen bulbs with anything but halogen bulbs so HID and LED conversions are out, and so are LED taillight bulbs, and it's also illegal to modify your headlight housings by installing projectors so there goes doing HID's yet again. Take that for what it's worth to you. For me, as long as a modification provides better night vision and doesn't blind other drivers, it's worth my doing.
