Is this normal?

Yesterday I was under my truck and I noticed what looked like dried oil or something on two of the bolt that connect to the intake manifold. I'm not sure what it is but the other ones all look the same not black stuff on them. What do you think?

Yea, if you can see your intake from under the truck....you have more serious issues than oily bolts!

Could it be your front cover, where the water pump is?

Oh, your engine is installed backwards....not upside down. Whew.

That's your exhaust manifold, clean the bolts and see if the oil comes back.

That's the exhaust manifold. You got manifold correct. Sorry, I don't have any experience with finding leaks. Not looking forward to it! lol

Pretty flammable stuff. Make sure it's cold, and put ona rag and rub, you don't want that stuff left all over to catch on fire.

My philosophy on oil leaks-if it isn't dripping, it isn't a problem.

Is that the drivers side?
If so is that your fuel line laying on top of the exhaust manifold?
That might be your leak
