T18 Block Plate

I'm swapping a 5.0L and T18 into my 82 Bronco. I've done the hydraulic clutch swap, but before I put it all together, is the block plate the same for a C6 as a T18? The T18 didn't come with one so I have nothing to compare it to. It appears the same when I compare it to the T18 bellhousing but is there anything else I need to worry about? Thanks in advance

The only way I know to find out is to get someone that sells that piece, and then compare the part numbers. There are a few guys on here who have the old parts books, they could possibly look it up for you. I don't know if anyone sells them online.

I can't find a listing on new ones anywhere and I've searched high and low on the forums but nothing that I can find as a definite answer. Hopefully somebody finds some old numbers. The old parts books are worth their weight in gold!

Thin metal plate that goes between the engine and trans.

As for the original question, it should work ok. The C6 plate has the extra piece for accessing the convertor nuts, otherwise I suspect they are pretty much the same. If the bolt holes along the bottom match up, it should be ok.

Okay cool, I'll be able to find a C6 plate easier than a T18 in my area. I've just been comparing photos online. Thanks for the quick replies
