Speedometer question
I was wondering out of curiosity if anyone knew what the small white dots are on the speedometer of the 92-97 trucks. My 96 has a dot between 20 and 25 and another dot between 25 and 30, in addition to a dot between 55 and 60 and another dot between 60 and 65. Anyone know what these are for?

Shift speeds, for like 2-3 shift and 4-5 shift I would guess? That makes sense I guess. I do not use my little dots properly then, but the dots are there for a reason I guess. Atleast I know that much now.

I don't know what they are for, but certainly not that. Different gear ratios, tire size, transmissions, engines etc all play part in when to shift

They are shift point suggestions, of course as it was noted, there are several configurations and taking all the parameters into account will no doubt have different shift points, but they serve as an average reference.
