Yes front blocks are a NO NO, but they are not that big to warrant a "take off now" before they cause the front axle to dive out from under the truck and make you hit a mini van full of nuns.
Ol blue had bigger ones, when I bought it....
Take them off and put a add-a leaf from JC Whitney on it.

They aren't good, but they are at least not hacked in. I can't find any other PO fixes, so I think I'm good. Just got the brush guard off and swapped a straight bumper on.
