What should I replace

If my 6.9 sat for a few years "ran a little while" and then sat a few more years?
I know oil, flush radiator and properly fill with dcaa's or whatever they are. New glow plugs and batteries, check tranny and transfer case, check brakes all wiring and switches.

Anything else? Has atleast a full rear tank.

He probably doesn't want to replace those, the ones he has are unique to the truck!

Just check the basics, rubber rots, especially if stored outside. Belts, hoses, tires, wiper blades, etc.

SCAs is the term you're looking for.

A little thread jack here but, the other morning, I jumped in my VW and was face to face with a field mouse. He was sitting on my dash, looking at me eyes all bugged out!

My 6.9 had sat for about a decade, being started a time or two just be moved out of the way. The first things to die after its resurrection were the fuel pump, vacumn pump, and the heater core.
