There is some oil but like said, no enough to worry about.

Yes, I said click,

Better use a torque wrench on those head studs,

Getting things started and here are the old plugs on the passenger side

What is the purpose of the bare wire wrapped around the injector wires and the common in the middle then wrapped with some type of shielding?

I believe the tin foil shielding stuff is for heat.

It's the same principle as insulated spark plug wires. Those wires are all the hot wires for the injectors, so they're carrying a LOT of live current. It stops the current from creating radio interference.

Those connectors look like my old ones did. I'm glad I did the SD gasket upgrade.

Makes sense. I'm hoping this will smooth out my idle a bit. The whole truck almost rocks from side to side and cackles really loud.

Well mama got me with the honey do list but she is grabbing the two kids tomorrow and leaving me alone at the house to tackle this project. Got the fridge stocked and ready

How would you guys recommend doin the injector o'ring. Do one at a time or just pull them all on one side or just pull all of them? I'm goin to do the glowplugs and VC harness then start it up and check to make sure everything is wired right then unplug each injector and see is I have any bad ones. If all is good then in doin the o'rings. I would imagine anyway you choose to pull injectors, one still has to suk te oil and fuel out. I parked the truck facing up the driveway after running around a bit so most of the fluids should be to the rear. I think I will start with the rear first since it should have the most in it

I'd pull the rears first, but then pull all the rest after a bit. Then replace all the orings, make sure the cylinders are clear, make sure the injector cups are clean, then reinstall all of them.

When I did my injectors last winter Cookie, a moderator here, said to mix petroleum jelly with oil, about 50/50 mix. I had to stir it quite a bit but it seemed to be a good lube to lube up the O rings before installing the injectors.
