It was bound to happen sooner or later. I knew the day would soon come that I'd have to say goodbye to the best truck I've ever owned. When I sold my trailer last year, I just didn't need the truck anymore. Besides, it isn't fast enough or cool enough to give me the proper therapy for my mid-life crisis.
So last week I ordered a 2014 Mustang GT. I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for the car to be scheduled for a build date. In the meantime, the dealer is allowing me to continue driving the truck until the car arrives, so I guess I get a 6 week goodbye. It's not my daily driver so I suppose it'll be more a work of art in my driveway than it will a truck.
I haven't been a regular on this board for quite some time but I just wanted to thank y'all. Luckily, I didn't really have to use much of the knowledge that I gained. The ol' 6 liter was so fantastic that it gave the Energizer bunny a run for its money.
It has the track Pack, electronics pack, and comfort pack. The extra money for the brembo's, boss 302 radiator, pirelli's, 3.73, and whatever else comes on the track pack was well worth it.

Now if they could only put a 6 liter in a mustang
On the other hand, probably best they don't.
While I never had any major issues with my 6.0, I'm glad I don't have to worry about it anymore. The only thing it had that the coyote doesn't is a turbo. I'm thinking a supercharger will be in my future at some point.

Turbo and some other stuff. Like sticky injectors, HPOP, EGR cooler, stretchy head bolts, clog-prone oil cooler, 15-quart oil capacity, $20 oil filter, $50 fuel filter kit, etc.

You mean I don't have to fork over $120+ for oil changes anymore? Awesome!!
I feel your pain. (sort of). I'll be saying goodbye to my trusty 01 PSD when my new truck gets here. But I will keep my 07 Mustang GT CS. The best of both worlds.

Torsen differential and Recaros are the big two I can think of. Oil cooler too.
