Torsen differential and Recaros are the big two I can think of. Oil cooler too.
The Recaro's don't come with the track pack. I'm happy that they don't because you can't get the comfort pack with the Recaro's because they aren't heated. I don't care about the heated seats since I live in the Houston area but the comfort pack includes the pony symbol that shines on the ground on both sides when you unlock the car at night. My daughter wanted that option.
I hope I never have to take apart the diff because I have to ctrl-alt-del my brain anytime I try to figure out how a torsen works. All I can say is that whatever Ford did to make the car grab the ground during spirited acceleration sure does work. My '86 GT convertible used to have some serious wheel skip before I took it apart for restoration. When I put it back together, I'm going to have a whole new UPR suspension in the front and back. Hopefully, it will help keep the tires on the ground.
Why does it take 5w-50 and whats the track pack have to do w oil weight?
The 302boss takes 5w50 and if you get the track pack in theory you'll be going to the track. So they use the same oil. At least that's what I was told.
Why does it take 5w-50 and whats the track pack have to do w oil weight?
I did some reading on that yesterday, and it looks like the engine is identical with the exception of the oil cooler. The assumption is that cars with the Track Pack may be run on the track, and for this use they will need thicker 5w50 oil. Of course nobody has gotten an answer from Ford about whether or not it's okay to run 5w20 for regular use, but I would guess that it wouldn't hurt anything.
Of course if it were my car I'd put the recommended 5w50 oil in just to be safe.
No need to be a truckless loser. Go buy a 60s F100 for a couple grand. Park it in back, its there when you need it. One oil change a year. $200 a year for full coverage insurance.
I sold my 72 F-100 in 89 for this Mustang, If I could part with my Fox I'd get a new one tomorrow. Nice Stang Rush , I hope you enjoy it as long as I have.
