Does Anyone own a SunnyBrook Raven Fifth Wheel?

Considering buying a 2910 RL.
Thoughts, experience?

I don't know anyone the has one like that but Sunnybrook was a desent trailer before Winnebago bought them so maybe it's even better. The floor plan looks user friendly, the one thing we always look for is the ability to use kitchen and bathroom without putting the slids out its handy when you stop for lunch or a bathroom break. I see there is a option for 16" tires it's one I would have. You may also want to look for something with 3 slides for more room in the living area but that depends on how you are going use it, we live in ours 9 months out of the year so our needs are different than most. Your 6.2 won't have any problem with that trailer.

As Denny noted, Sunnybrook built a solid trailer and Winnebago historically has done a pretty reasonable job with their motor homes, so it is worth a look. There is a however, however, and it is this. You can not buy any RV based on name alone. Quality control can be all over the map, so look it over carefully and, if this is your first RV take along a friend who is familiar with them or pay a tech to go with you and go through.

My thoughts,

Steve

Steve is right you have to very careful when buying an rv. When we are looking at new ones we tell the sales person to leave and we sit in the rig and play with all the toys and if we still like it we start looking at construction and fit and finish, bring something to lay on so you can look under the rig. when we bought our present trailer we did this and the sales man was thinking he had us hooked because we looked at it so hard,so they tried to stick it to use. We ended up ordering one somewhere else for a lot less money.

Because Hitchhiker is out of production (not out of business) I would give SonnyBrook a look if we were in the market.

Thanks Denny and Steve.
The closest dealer is 2 hours away and right now they don't have a 2910.
We'll make our way down there to look at other Ravens.
There are a few things that are must haves for me.
I found 1 TT that has them, however, it is over 34 feet long. This Raven is the only Fiver I've found (so far) that also has them.
I need to stay as close as possible to 30 foot length.

There are pluses and minuses to both types of towables. If you have not towed before, you may want to consider those issues first.

Towed a popup with a Ranger and towed the SV264 with the F150. I'll be pulling the 264 with the 350 for a year or two? maybe?
I don't want a longer bumper pull - ours is 30 feet - we may have to go longer.
Slides on the curb side are out.
Anything over 12 feet tall is out.

If you take a good look at the other Ravens they have in stock it will give you a good idea on quality, then I would consider ordering one it fits your needs. I would probably never buy one off the lot again after ordering one the way we wanted it.

I realize this has no direct bearing on this thread but can you explain this comment further?

I agree. We looked at a 264 on the lot with dark fabric. We then looked at different colors in other models. We ordered ours too.
I'm not finding much info about Ravens.
Northwood has the frames and a real 4 season build. Their fivers are well over 12 feet tall.
Other brands have features to brag about too.

The factory is still intact and the service department and parts are still open, part of the plant is now being use for RV sales (Kansas RV). You can get a HH repaired or rebuilt to factory spec's with HH parts at the plant, one of the group we go to Mexico with is having theirs repaired after a basement fire with a 29K price tag. They will also repair other brands if you can get in. If the high end market ever turns around I forsee them going back into production.

Thanks, left me wondering as you can buy 2013 models.
