Ooo kay...ya, mines an L99 extra cab/SB...and has had its share of being outside, however WHY ford DID NOT incorporate a "structured" roof, is beyond me. My roof is completely flat with no "ribbed for support" lol.
Anyway, reason for post, is...does anyone else experience what my truck does. With windows down or even up, for that matter...the roof "implodes" or explodes because of the pressure created. The noise is ridiculous, when it happens. The roofs' so da#@ flimsy that, from the sun, not ribbed..etc i might as well have foil up there. You can lightly push on it, when washing, that it "re-creates" what happens when driving.
My 85 f350 mason dump used to do that. Man, it would drive me nuts! Mine was caused by one of my employees standing on the roof one time to climb into the back of the dump bed. After his 225 lbs did that, it was never quite the same.
it'll pop with windows up, too...Its definitely the roof itself, but more often when my lumber racks installed with ladders secured to it...turbulence present?
Skip, man..i thought of that. Had a place install one, on my s10 years ago, but there know where to be found now. Visor was a KITA...
