Not much into fantasy books, and as such have not read either HP or the Bible, but living in such a media driven world I have heard lots of stuff about both. I know some very nice people who are keen on Jesus, and some very nice people who are keen on Wiccan beliefs. Seems kinda like trucks, talk to the salesperson or enthusiasts, and whatever brand they are keen on or profit by will be the one true truck, talk to the loan guy at a bank or credit union, and the brand isn't really important, just the numbers. So, Christian or Wiccan or whatever religian is cool with me, I try to look at the good stuff people are getting out of their faith, I don't have to share the belief to enjoy a friends joy.

Well, heck, after all this discussion I'd rather not jeopardize my soul and I think I'll stop reading that Harry Potter book I picked up. I wanted to see what all the hype is about but don't think its worth the risk. Guess I'll go do something else creative, like, hmmm I dunno, play Dungeons & Dragons

Sorry, I do not understand your post since I was giving an answer to a question. Someone wanted to know "how" light could exist before the sun. If the big bang theory holds true, that would have created light well before any suns were formed.
Considering it probably happened over ten billion years ago and we do not even know what lies below our own oceans, I am not going to argue about that or how long a day is for God.
Just like it says God forms things seen from things unseen. I would think it would probably be atoms, but, I am not going to argue the point because I do not know and it is a Harry Potter discussion about witchcraft, which is evil.

Wait a minute. In other countries, shamanism, voodoo, and all that area has been around for a very long time. It's a normal practice in some countries.
So, that's like going over there, and trying to convert them to the religion YOU prefer. Isn't that a little too pushy? I'd like to see someone convert a cannibal, to vegetarian, lol.
HP books, just like any other sci-fi, romance, drama book, is great for the mind. They inhance your abilities to draw yourself into the story. Like The Never Ending Story movie. There were creatures, evil doers, but the story was about using your imagination. Hmm, ***** Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? A fantasy about a manufacturer that creates great candy? The burping cola? Blue Oompa Loompas? How many of you wish there were candy like that? I did, being a women who loves chocolate.
From one mother to you. You know what scared my child the most? Monsters Inc. Know why? It was about monsters in the closet. For a long time, he wouldn't sleep with the light off. Not HP books.
BTW, I believe in God, and the Blue Oval, but that doesn't mean you have to. I myself, have always had interests in the Native American culture. I also like to read about the Arc of the Covenant type stuff. If you ever have the chance look it up on the discovery channel website. The "battery effect" is an amazing theory.

why are you all so decieved, you dont see that satan is lying to you? he has you decieved and blinded into thinking that books glorifying witchcraft are ok, satan has blinded you and you cannot see that Jesus is Lord and the only way to God, open your eyes, open your eyes to the wonderful, awesome, indescribely infinitely awesome thing that Jesus has done for us on the cross, reconciling us to God, and making a way for us to go to heaven, if we only accept what He has done for us and turn from our wicked ways and confess Jesus as Lord!!!!

I think I'll subscribe to the 'don't judge others unless you want yourself to be judged'. Unless you really believe Jesus spoke Ye Olde English then it would be 'judge not lest ye yourself be judged'. Or how about 'he who has no sin can cast the first stone'?
