So, here we are again. Does anyone else find it odd that these days seem to be in a 7 set cycle. Is this time loop waiting for us to get it right? Is it waiting for a single person to get it right and the rest of us are all just stuck in this loop until that happens?
ANyone see the weather we had in Central IL yesterday?!!! We had 7 tornados and baseball sized hail!!!! Everyone I know only had minor damage, but it leveled hundred of homes!!! Tons of places still without power and have been told it will be 5-7 days until they get it back
Pat, speaking of progress, how's your reassembly coming along?
Also do you need my Christmas wish list of interior parts again? Or will those boxes stay hidden away until the spring thaw?
I am not sure how much I will get done right now other than gathering parts and materials. My school schedule is pretty demanding, but I will do what I can. I will be taking care of the mechanical needs first. The radius arm bushings are falling apart and I want the 3G alt swap with the headlight relays. I do finally get to fill the tank and see if my work for the fuel gauge has all been for not.
I need to get with you and Dave to pick your brain about sanding disks and a paint gun and cleaner so I don't waist money getting things that are wrong or I don't need. It has been a long time since I did any body prep work or spraying.
I am debating how far to take it apart before spraying. I know I should take the fenders and hood off, but I am worried about cost and time with possible breaking of bolts. I am no where close to looking for the perfection you two guys are but I do want it to last.
Morning Greg! Right now, I need to get the new dash mocked up before I go through that other stuff, probably won't be until spring by the time that happens. I would talk to Dave about the spray gun, etc. He has a lot more experience with that stuff that I do! If you make sure you soak those bolts in something like PB blaster, and use and air ratchet to get them off, you should be fine. It's much easier to break bolts just using a wrench. I would take the hood off, at the very least, to paint it.

2026 Shelby F-150 Off-Road: Better Than a Raptor R?
No problem Pat, I though that it would be. I think the key things I am looking at would be the interior roof light assembly and the drivers side door switch. It would be nice to have an interior light. Nothing that is required to make it go down the road so it can wait. I just tend to get antsy when I want to get stuff done on the truck.
Greg, you got some free time on Sunday?
I want to roll the Bronco out of the garage and give it a bath before spraying color.
We can talk all about spray guns and sanding when you come over, basically for what you are doing you only need one spray gun, an HVLP with a 1.7 or 1.8 tip.
