96 f150 4.9 have 171 and 174 bank 1 & 2 too lean rebuilt motor replaced every gasket and bolt torqued to spec and replaced cat and o2's and no vacume leaks only way to get rid of the code is to make a 96 octane mixture what is it i am missing that could be causing me these codes any help is appreciated
are they plugging into the obd2 port? check engine light on?
your injectors could be failing, and not spraying properly. MAF sensor could be faulty, although this would be doubtful with those codes.
you could get a donor diagnostic port out of the jy, tuck yours up into the dash not to be seen by the ambitious emission tester, then mount the dummy where the stocker goes and hide the wires. i've passed several cars this way that otherwise would never pass in their current form (they've combined sniff tests with the diagnostic port in my state, cant just keep the CEL off anymore) because the tester didnt know what to do. im not sure whether its policy or tester carelessness, but if they cant read the car its gone through for me.
