I've been eyeing these Eagle Alloy style 058 now for a while and think I'm ready to buy me some. Question is what size to get. I'm leaning more towards the 16.5x12 cause I'm liking the deeper dish. Mickey Thompson Classic III are about the same style but can be had in a 16" diameter.
The 38x15.5 wide tires seem to be cheaper in the 16.5 wheel size than the 16.0 buy a few bucks but I guess my main concern is the rim width. Is going to a 12 wide rim too much or okay?
This will be going on a 78 F 250 with a 6 inch lift
For me, I prefer the MT Classics over the Eagle Alloys. I have both sets on two different bronco's and the MT's just seem to clean up better and have a brighter finish. Plus, I am sold on MT's quality. I have MT's on several trucks & bronco's now and they are my favorites!!
As for the width, I think that would depended on your intent/purpose for your truck. Again, for me I don't really like tires/rims over 12.5" unless you are gonna use in the deep mud or swamp. Just my .02
