Ok so I swear my highboy knows its about to get a new engine so it wants me to replace other parts as well. So problem one
1) when I turn at low speed in either direction, I hear a scrapping noise in the front driver side wheel? Not the pads and the calipers are solid. I'm thinking either bad bearing, or a bad ball joint (its a 78 hd 44).
Problem 2
From a stop, when I accelerate, around 1200rpm-1400 rpm there is a major vibration that shakes the whole cab??? No idea what's doing this. Makes no sense
Problem 3
At freeway speeds 65-80, when I'm on the gas at a steady speed or accelerating, there is a noticable vibration and it stops when I let off the gas all the way. Again, no idea what it is...
1) Not quite sure
2) First thing I would check are your motor mounts, a loose or broken mount could do this. But I guess it is strange that it only does it from 12-1400 rpm's. It's still worth a look.
3) This COULD be as simple as your tires being out of balance, my truck does this at like 52 mph and no other speed so I think it's just the tires are a tiny bit out of balance.
