OT Career change

(Sorry Stewart.. I understand If you have to move this)

After traveling a long, difficult road, I finally made it. I just learned that I'll be making a career change. A change I've looked forward to for most of my life. It's a goal that at times seamed impossible to reach. My family and I are looking forward to the many changes ahead, and we know there will be sacrifices that go along with this new lifestyle.

This past year has been filled with lots of downs... and I'm happy to be approaching the new year on an upward climb. I'm looking forward to wearing blue.

EDIT: Looks like I just hit the 1000 post mark!!!

Blue collar?
Or blue with a badge?

Big difference between the two.

Machine shop people are in very high demand right now.

No kidding, really?

Local, county, state, or federal?

How long is your academy?

Congratulations! My wife is "in the business" and you'll see human nature in-the-raw - you won't be bored.

People confuse me for a cop all the time in uniform.. Does that count?
Good luck on your new career!

You're gonna be a cop and your first act is to come here and break the 'law' of no off-topic posts?

Not a good start!

Very nice, good luck. Don't get too jaded, you will see the dark side of human behavior a lot, but know that there are still good people out there and they outnumber all the bad. It just doesn't look that way sometimes when you are behind that badge.
