1979 f150 Long term build
Morning of removal.

Tore the engine block down and had the machine shop hot tank the block, press the pistions on the rods and install new cam bearings.

This was the reason for the smoke.

Heres a video of the first drive on the street after rebuild and break in..

My exhaust has been hanging low since I bought the truck and I just have not had the time to change it, so I finally fixed that problem and dumped it right behind the cab.

Santa brought me some projector headlights and a new radio...

And I got this awesome shirt on ebay.

Notched the seat so that it will lean back a little more.

The other day I took ol girl out for a cruise and leaving the drive way I realized the was no oil pressure.. I was freaking out considering I had just rebuilt the motor. I borrowed my buddies pressure gauge and found out the pressure was fine. I really like the stock look of the gauges inside, so I decided to put a mechanical oil pressure gauge under the hood with a T at the back of the motor so I can run both the factor and aftermarket gauge. And now the stock gauge is working again.

I was looking at projectors for mine but I was lucky enough to find a nice set of Hella H4 conversion lights at the junkyard for $10 so I went with those. Did you use H4 bulbs or go with an HID setup?

Also swapped over the V belt pulley..

Installed a mega fuse and 2 inline fuses, one for radio and one for the tach.

Charging when everything was done..

I wanted to do all an fittings with 6 an hose, so I bought the factory hose for the 2008 to help me figure out what adapters I would need.

Hose and Hose ends.

Adapters..

This is the setup I used for the power steering pump, Got the brass fittings from a local true value...

Some 90 hose ends and green LED lights for the dash, Hoping the will match the color of my radio pretty close..

The Old stock setup..

Started of with it this way and realized I need to flip the silver bracket to offset the pedal shaft..

Removed the snap ring and nut, then removed the silver bracket and ground down the **** on the inside and then spun it 180 around.

Brakes so nice now, one of the best upgrades I have done!
