Local mechanic told me the motor in my 68f100 is not stock. Says it's a car engine. Oil pan has "hump" on front of the pan. Oil drains onto the crossmember. He says truck motors have "hump" in the back--doesn't drain on crossmember. I haven't ck'd ser # yet(or stroke)-- block is covered in sludge. Spark plugs are angled-front 2 toward rear-back 2 toward front. I bought starter & fuel pump for 360& they worked. Is he right?

Only f.e. blocks have starters with three bolts 360/361/390/391/427 if your motor is original it might be a 361 that old only way to tell is by numbers. Oil pans for trucks sump was on both front and back depends on fwd or f100/f250/f350 but if oil drains on crossmember my guess not original.
I bet you got a 360.
