i just bought my self some hedman headers and a high flow cat to finish off my exuast system. I have heard some things about when you install headers about your truck running rich or lean. Can someone tell me is this is true or not and if it is could you tell me how to prevent it. Also i am wondering how to put to o2 sencer back on because i am replacing both cats with a high flow one. I was wondering if i could just drill a hole in the pipe and reinstall it. I really dont want to do this rong because if my engine blows i am $*!& out of luck. Thanks for your help

You will probably need to weld on a new "bung" for the sensor. You can probably buy one at a good parts store. I don't think you can just drill and reinstall. take it to a good exhaust shop and see what they say.
Look at both summitracing and jegs. I believe they have weld in parts and bolt on parts to use your o2 sensor on your headers. check and see I know they have them for some chevy's. If not you could cut out your old fitting and try welding in new pipe.
Once i put on my new headers i will take it to a shop and see what they can do about it. Will it mess up anything if i drive it a few miles without the sencer attached.
Thanks Rudy
So your tellin me that it wont run lean or rich? One last qustion, when i take it to the shop what would be a good price for the costom job that they would have to do and would i have to provide them with the H pipe for them to put on.
Thanks Rudy

Are you going with two cats for true duals, If so the best place for the O2 sensor is in the H pipe, any good muffler shop can install the sensor in the exhaust just about any were. If you going to combine the headers together into one High Flow cat, the O2 sensor would go at that point in the exhuast system. Be sure the O2 sensor can read the total engine exhaust. Or you rig will run rich with horrible fuel milage, and not that great of performance.
The H pipe is just a piece of pipe crossing over between the headers, the muffler shop will have scrape pipe to use for the H pipe.
