fuel in coolant
So because of the Gov furlough my wife and I decided to fly home and surprise the kids and see how our son was doing taking care of things around the house. He had his 03 superduty crew cab all torn down in the garage and was going to repaint it in my garage. Yeah surprise was on me. I went to hook up the batteries on my truck after sitting 7 months and looking things over I noticed fuel in the coolant. I replaced the cups when I rebuilt the engine, before we left, but made a mistake somewhere along the way. After reading all the posts about this, it was a no brainer, I ordered the rental tool and new cups. Switched the cups and kept telling myself the whole time, at least I have some room with the 7.3 to do this. Got it all buttoned up and it ran great and no more fuel in the coolant. That problem solved, but now the engine shuts off after it is idling for a few minutes. I will address this in a new forum.
