So you guys are really paying over 50k for these trucks? They are beautiful and awesome trucks, no doubt. But my dad wouldn't think of paying over $50k for a vehicle, all that depreciating value. He would hate losing that much money. He considers them transportation and doesn't believe they are worth that. I guess the goal now is getting him to bite the bullet and raise his number
Back in August we bought a 2013 Expedition Limited 2WD (loaded minus air suspension). I can't remember the exact number, but it stickered right at $54k-$55k. We paid $42k. I certainly wouldn't pay over $50k for an Expedition.
FWIW I see 7 2013 King Ranch Expeditions for under $45k at my local dealer right now and 12 Limited Expeditions between $39k and $42k.
I would say you are going to be low 40s. You need to get the true invoice on the truck, back out 3% of MSRP and then back out the current incentives. THEN you need to figure out how much volume the dealer is doing.
Say MSRP is 55,740
Invoice is 51,669
Holdback is 1,672
Rebates are 5,250
Gets you to around 44,750.
I wouldn't pay a dime over 44,750 (all guesses based on me not having the VIN of the truck you want). I would say a good negotiator at a large dealer could get into that truck for 42-45K.
If it's a large dealer they get huge kickbacks for buying large quantities of specific vehicles at a time on top of their already volume discount. For example ford might discount them 5,000 extra off this truck just to get them to take 150 units.
It's a pretty large dealer. It's been a week or so and the first sales person we spoke to has not bothered to call us with any offers. Looks like he's not gonna be making a sale.
So we are going back today to speak with manager about our offer. The end of the year is right around the corner, you would think they would be happy with getting rid of this truck.

Fingers crossed. 6spd, here I come!
By large I mean 400 plus cars a month. At this point it sounds like you need to play two or three dealers against each other.
