I have a 2013 F250 that I am installing a amber warning beacon on. I need to be able to get the end of the electrical cable into the cab of the truck but it has a 12 volt lighter plug on the end that cannot come off. Is there a rubber plug somewhere in the cab that I can route the cable through? Thanks in advance.
On my 2012 there are some rather large plugs in the floor under the carpet/vinyl floor in the Passenger and Driver floor boards.
You could also probably pop out one of the vents on the back wall. Run your plug/wire in through there and then notch the vent on one edge to leave a hole for the wire.
Those would be the only places I could thing of going without cutting the cable.
Do the newer trucks have the engine compartment pass through
wires? If they do you could put a socket on one and run the power
that way. That way you don't have to stuff wires anywhere.

This is exactly what I would do. route it thru the firewall pass thru's then to a up fitter switch if you have it.
