Yeah my dad's travel trailer has a light on the electronic tongue jack, that helps a little...

But I want to mount something on the truck. I'm tossing around a few ideas

Miles did you hook up the reverse lights yet? you have me interested in those now lol, i cant see for crap when backing up. I have nice big tow mirrors so i don't have to turn around when backing down driveways and out of parking spots (obviously i check for cars) but i cant see in the dark so what good are they other than using them during the day!

Where are you mounting the 14" bar? I'm assuming the 20" is going in he bumper opening and the cube lights are going to be mounted some where eon the front as well? Also did you get them both from the same place?

The factory fogs will be removed and i am going to make a mounting plate to mount the cubes and 14" bar to, and those will go in the bumper opening. the 20" bar (maybe 30 someday, wanna buy a 20"?) will go in the grille. i got the cubes and 14" bar from ledwarehouse and the 20" bar from waylayedinc.com. Seem to be a pretty good company, plus if you use the coupon code 100offled you get $100 off any light they sell. Curious to see how it is

You'll definitely need to post up pictures. I'm considering throwing flush mounts in the rear bumper to aid in backing up, and an considering putting a bar behind the grille, but I need to figure out what grille I want to use

Exactly what i had planed for mine, only problem i foresee with this (atleasst for miles and myself) is the 05 header panel had a think support right in the middle of it so the bar will either be right up against the grille and metal tabs or something will need to be made, or the support could possibly be cut and fixed to the light after it is aimed properly. Also the light will likely bounce around a lot unless some ribs or something is added the the header panel. My current lights bounce so much that I would have to re-aim them every week if i used them a lot.

I'm pretty sure a 20" would fit, I think a 30" will fit but that could be just the 08+. Either way that will look pretty sick. White or chrome grille?

If you mount it to the top in that top slot you could mount it to the thick upper part and it should provide a really stable mounting point for a bar.

Those 6" lights always have that issue because they're heavy tall. I've installed piaa 520s in 5 trucks for a friend and the only mount that didn't have issues was his 89 bronco and that's because they were mounted to the bumper itself.

yeah they aren't the lightest light (no pun intended lol) the 20" bar will fit in the top opening but I'm not sure about the clearance from the support to the grille though. Ill measure it out and let you guys know, i have a billet grille so i have plenty of options lol.

I want to get a couple cubes for back up lights, and I also want to mount two into the swing up doors of my tool box. That way if I need to light up the bed I can just open my tool box. This will keep them hidden at the same time.

have you had any issues with those 9008 bulbs melting the OEM housing? I wanted to run them, but the wattage scared me vs the 9007 bulbs and their lower wattage
