Hi Quick question Did a search and could not find my issue .
Looks like my Steering box has sprung a leak on the top around the silver bolt don’t want to mess with it before talking to redhead but is that a bolt that maybe came loose and I should just tighten up or just leave it alone for now waiting for call back from redhead.

How long has the box been installed? Personally I would not mess with it until you talk to redhead because they will void the warranty if you move that nut...
I agree with Bigpipes 35, that nut is marked and they will void your warranty if you turn it. Sadly there has been a rash of Red Head failures recently, so much that I'm not sure I would buy one again.

I know and I just installed mine last week, When I installed mine it wasn't centered in fact it was cranked all the way to one side which had my pitman arm way off center, I was bummen till I figured out what the issue was.

I think there is only 1 year warranty on the redhead boxes so you might be SOL, which kinda stinks because the one I bought from rockauto has a lifetime warranty..I would call back Monday and keep calling till I got through...
I never could figure out why everyone is jumping to buy one and pay more when they are just another rebuilt PS box by another rebuilder.
That's kind of been my thinking as well. There's been a lot of people that have bought them and said they were great, but I'm not really sure what's been great about them. Idk if it's the fact that they had worn out boxes and replaced them with one that wasn't sloppy and that's been the hype or what. Lately though I have been reading about lots of failure on these boxes from different sources as well and am not so sure what's been the big jump to get one.
Update Harvey got back to me said that bolt must have come loose. Sure enough went under the truck and tightened that puppy up looks like it might have fixed it . Going on a 500 mile round trip tomorrow and will see if she is all fixed up will let ya know. Ty all
