I've been so busy (80 hr/wk for 3 months) I didn't have time to look for the oil leaks I know I have. Laid off on Thursday, on Friday, I finally found the major one. Loose oil filter, not even hand tight, will definitely drop some oil.
Now for the leak in the valley....
If you need any Valley help, let me know. I've tracked down three different valley oil leaks and fixed them all. I feel really good and working in the valley.
To start, get some blue shop towels and put them in the back (under the Turbo Pedestal), In the front and side of the HPOP, and in the center by the plenum boots.
All three will leak. The turbo is a pain because you have to connect the up-pipe collector blind and get the t-bolt v band clamp on. Not easy, but possible. The HPOP is a pain because it is a big mess and a lot of work. Again doable... The Plenums are the easiest, and cheapest. New boots and plenum inserts are a couple of hours and easy to do.
With the I/C Spider out, you can easily clean the valley to help find future leaks.
The turbo could be either the EBPV, or the actual turbo o-rings. Easy to rebuild and fix, but takes more then two hours.
Good luck and let me know if I can help. I've done all of this in the past two months...
