So I'm doing the timing gears and I have the radiator out and the clutch fan off but I'm having some trouble getting the crank pulley bolt out I've been at it with a impact gun for a good 30 mins still nothing anybody got any suggestions?
Wow, I've never heard of that. I've taken three of them out on three different 300s and usually it just takes half a grunt to pop it free. (Point being, it shouldn't be like that).
Dumb question first, are you sure the pulley/engine isn't spinning? If it is, you'll need to address that. Put it in gear, chock the wheels, etc. Not sure how on an auto.
But if it's simply just STUCK, you may want to soak it with some penetrating oil first to see if that breaks up whatever is in there holding it in place.
Yeah it's a auto so putting it in gear won't work and yeah I mean it's spinning but not much at all like not even a 1/4 inch Haaha idk I think if rather just bash my head against the wall and it's a 87 so there's no telling what kinda crud is in there this motor has never been apart besides me doing the exhaust manifold gasket that's it and I have been just keep spraying pb blaster on it hoping it will get into the treads
Flexplate should be fine, if you snap a tooth off the flexplate you probably needed a new one. I have done it with manual transmissions and had no problems.

You might take a hammer [if you have swinging room] and strike the bolt directly on the head. The strike assists the penetrating oil by breaking loose any corrosion which has formed in the threads.

Does anyone know how to get the cam gear off the cam without taking the cam out and getting it pressed out??
Pull the cam! You could try some different pullers but you'll usually just end up breaking the gear and end up pulling the cam anyways. So save yourself some trouble in the long run and just bite the bullet up front and do it right.

should have listened to ya I bought the right puller for this job and just snapped the whole gear in half and now the metal ring is still on the cam
