the redneck tarp shelter to get out of the drizzel.
had to turn the truck around mid way through and it started to boost around 1800 from my guess.
still need to mount the wastegate and the pyro in the cross over pipe which i have a buddy welding up at work tuesday night. first test drive should be this weekend sometime.
and yes i know the oil line is tight, i am getting a 90 degree fitting to change that.
boost gauge is not working though you can hear it spool, the video is hard to hear over the exhaust leak.
i think either the boost line is the wrong one (previously ran) or is kinked under the dash that plastic stuff sucks. there is no air movement on the line.
as for the exhaust leak yes i know, it will be fixed soon, the leak appeared when i went to the track and is coming from the pass manifold it may just need tightened.
i had a little oil blow out the back of the turbo say 3 large drops. idk if this is just being new seals or if its a real issue, hopefully someone can chime in here. i have a restrictor inlet i can toss in but would not want to burn it up either.
this is no dp so it does not have much back pressure the dp is on the way and will be going on next week, after it arrives. i will figure out the oil issue and get a drive video up next.
You don't have a restrictor in your oil line?... I looked all over and found for my HX40 they recommended a 1.5 mm restrictor. So I found a an4 plate to bolt to the turbo with a 1.5 restrictor. when I started mine I could get no Boost unless I was in gear revving into the torque converter. I rebuilt my turbo with a kit and lubed the seals (they look like little piston rings) with oil so mine spit out a little oil on start up too.
racer should that 1.5mm be good for the t70 too? and by the psi of the oil it shouldnt need one but im thinking at the higher rpms some may have seaped by, making one necessary.
