I ordered the Hot X Tune and AFE delete pipe last week. Got the tunes right away and will be receiving the delete pipe tomorrow. If all goes as planned, I can report back on Friday with boost and such. I asked Amy at SPE today if I could run the delete with the box tunes and she said it will only work with their tuning. I have the street tuner. If the turbo does boost to 45psi, it'll only do it once on my truck, then the defuel will be set back to 32. I've been all anxious since I placed my order, bout in tears when UPS passes by the house without stopping
Can't wait to hear the plane up close!!
I found another hot-X tune customer tonight and he tells me that the highest boost he ever got was 37 psf. He has his defueling set at 35 and has been running for about 4k miles. So two sources, tow different stories. Darren might call there tomorrow and get the real info.

Same for me have the H&S street with the SPE hot X, I will be ordering the same afe pipe. I just started thinking about it the other day if the hot x tune might be to much for the stock turbo. yea let us know how that hot x tune is.

Savage what is Darren calling about the Hot X tune and turbos? hopefully he will share his infomation.
I know Darren will share the info...he shares everything . If he doesn't get time to call I will. I'm being told by two different Hot X users a vastly different turbo max pressure (45 and 37psi) I would like to know SPE's take on what pressures we may actually see with the Hot X tune. I don't think the stock turbo can handle anything over 37 very often and I'd still defuel it at 32 psi myself.
I had seen that video before, they are working those trucks pretty good. If i remember reading the description right i think the red truck was running the hot x tune.
Wasn't able to drive her yesterday but she's tuned and lost a little weight
Gonna get her out later and I'll report back with boost pressures and such. I will say that it sounds pretty nice at idle, I've never actually heard one in person as no one I've run across has a 6.7 deleted. Nice tone, I don't think the videos quite let you hear the real deal kinda like pictures don't quite do our trucks any real justice. Not really a big deal as far as removing the filter, biggest pita is prying the isolators off the hangers. Nothing a nice long pry bar can't handle though.
SPE says.... " We can limit it to whatever level you wish. The older/original tunes we sent out weren't limited although I think 45 PSI is a bit of a stretch of the truth. If you want it limited at a certain PSI, just note that when you place the order"
IF I get it I think I would get it in its stock form and see where it is at. If it's to high I would get them (SPE) to limit it to 38 PSI (SPE says no problem doing that). Some of the older H&S tunes ran up there and I ran them all day long at that level with no issues.
Note: Having SPE limit it to 38 PSI and setting a defuel at 38 PSI is NOT the same thing. If SPE limits it to 38 in the programming it will run there and make whatever power it does. If you set a defuel at 38 PSI, when it hits it it will go to STOCK power level and all will be lost (and that stupid 6.4 will just pull farther away!)
stangr, you are right, sound clips don't do it justice at all.
Anxiously awaiting your boost numbers
Here is one from last night.... note the kids love it
