How do you Repalce a fuel pump 99 E150 cargo through floor

Has anyone made an access's panel though the floor of their van to replace the fuel pump? I just need measurements where to cut.

The van wont start but it does runs on starter fluid...

4.2 V6 cargo 1999 e150..

Plus does anyone know if it has 3 line in /outputs or 2? they asked me that when ordering a fuel pump.

Yep----page 12, post #441 to be exact. Great memory Maples01!

Are you sure its your fuel pump and not its fuse or relay causing this? Are you sure its not a clogged filter or the pressure regulator? Checked the inertia fuel cut off switch?

WVVan mentions the steps he took before determining if the pump itself was indeed bad.

You'll want to read this post: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - Converting a 1999 Ford E-250 into a camper van

You can probably do it without the cat.

Also you'll want to read this post from the same thread:Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - Converting a 1999 Ford E-250 into a camper van

Yes. I'm guessing one reason is so you can't hook them back up the wrong way.

The tool I bought at Advance Auto had a different size on each end so only needed the one tool.

Great thread. I realize this is ancient, but would love to avoid dropping my tank since the van is in my driveway.

I'm trying to find the exact location of this. What is this part (circled) and how far from the left side. I have carpet and a small cabinet that will need to be removed. Any idea of the proximity (fore & aft from the filler door)?
Thanks in advance

That's the hump that covers the fuel filler hose. On the outside the gas cap is in line with it.
