I have a 2001 7.3 ford the seal in the turbo went and oil went in the exhaust. lots of oil like 10 quarts. I had a rebuilt turbo installed ran great for 2 weeks then one day out of the blue started idling rough and then downward from there no power stalling etc I have my super chip scanner it read dtcs of 1249 478 1211 and 238. Is it possible the muffler is plugged with oil? or is it and ipr? 193000 miles please help
*****UPDATE******* PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Ok So I changed the Ipr it wont even start now just fires a little bit. White smoke coming from exhaust while turning it over but no fire.
these codes still there
238 = turbo boost sensor A circuit high input (MAP sensor)
478 = exhaust pressure control valve high input (plugged sensor line, stuck butterfly, plugged exhaust)
1211 = IPR valve above/below desired
1249 = waste-gate failure steady state
i erased them but it wont fire to give me new ones could it be a plugged exhaust?
You have a lot of info posted there, white smoke is usually low cylinder temperatures or coolant.you should keep it simple and check the basics before the need to get a good scanner to check engine cranking signals, all fuses and relays in engine compartment and in cab are good? wiring connections ok? glow plugs have power? air cleaner restriction?, exhuast back pressure valve stuck closed?, tach moving during engine crank above 150 RPM?, base oil pressure on gauge?, just a switch so 5 psi its in the middle, fuel pump on and pumping fuel?, check the injection pressure regulator for voltage *12 vdc* at KOEO with multimeter across both terminals, if all that fails then your gonna need a generic or sophisticated scanner to watch ICP pressure, engine speed, battery voltage, oil pressure etc...... another important item might be your injector driver module (buzz test). Some other factors may need diagnostics but hopefully this will put you in the right direction, good luck.

This leans me towards fuel. Open the yellow fuel bowl drain and key the juice on to energize the pump, but not engage the starter. You should see a solid flow of fuel splashing on the ground if you did not put a container there. If little or no fuel then you have a bad pump or a restriction in the line, typically clogged screens in the tank. When my fuel pump died it was very similar, except during the short low power phase it spewed massive white smoke.
