Leaf Spring Spacers for "B" Mod

Okay, first let me say that have done tons of reading and searching. Unless I am crazy, which is possible, I do not see that my factory "G" code rear leaf springs have the spacers I need to mod the "B" codes. If I am correct, is there any options to purchase something close. If I cannot purchase, what material and size do I need to have made. Thanks in advance, you peoples are great.

You can make them out of Delrin (Acetal) sheet. Just cut it with a knife or band saw to the right size and drill a hole in it. Do not use Teflon or HDPE plastic. it is not strong enough on compression.

You can buy Acetal sheets here:

So Stewart sent Reps to Bion, this must be a good option. What size does each spacer need to be?

Well Dave, you have three guys responding to this thread who you can count on for good info. (Housedad (Bion), Stewart_H (Stuart haha) and wpnaes (Sean) ). As for me, I've been known to make stuff up......
As for the spacer size I don't have the exact measurements but if you just cut them to the width of the springs and just a tad longer than the distance to the outsides of your U-bolts, front to back, you should be good to go. Why do you think your G codes don't have the plastic spacers? They are a hair thicker than the B code ones but not a lot and may be hard to pick out on a well worn dirty spring pack.

I think my comment may have came across a little wrong. My thoughts with it being forum talk I may get different opinions, not that Bion or anyone else would give bad advice. So I went with Bion's suggestion and had them cut it 3x5.125. I may have not had them cut long enough. This was based on the pictures I printed of the forum. My door code is DG on the vehicle in my signature. If they are G's they do not have spacers. I removed them this morning. I will posted a picture in the morning, maybe that will clear things up.

Hard to tell from the picture but those look like the ones of B codes (flimsy/thin), the ones on the G codes are 1/8 inch thick.

The ones in the pic are from a set of 85 F250 springs of unknown rating/code

Idk if they are really needed or not, but you can see on the springs that the ones out of the 85(on the left has alot longer spacers than the ones out of my Excursion(on the right)

Ok, now I'm confused (easily done). Either your springs don't have spacers, or they do and they're 1/8 inch thick.

I should have said suppose to be 1/8th inch thick. I do not have any spacers in the rear leaf springs I removed from my Excursion this morning. Sorry for the confusion.
