Help decide on new paint job color!!
Hey guys,
I am getting my f250 1971 ready to take it to the shop within the next few weeks for a fresh coat of paint. My truck is originally all white, but I would like a two tone color but trying to keep the original look. I am thinking of a combination of white and green. I think I want to use the original white tone combined with a tone of green. I am not sure on the type of green I want, I believe I would like to use an original factory tone. The two tone pattern would be the same to this truck I found on the net. What do you guys think? Where can I check for paint codes used back in those days?
Find used 1972 F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special 390, two tone, 18in. wheels in Morris, Illinois, United States, for US $8,100.00

My interior is already green... That hunter green color. I just did my bench seat. I like the green because it gives it that retro look. Blue looks great too.

Here is a picture of my 72, It's factory colors Wind Blue and White, Base Coat - Clear Coat, also the colors are reversed from the green on the truck you referenced in the first post. The green looks good as painted but would also look great with the colors reversed. If your truck is now white it's easier to do the two tone with the white as the center color to match the inside, of course you could always paint the inside of the cab.

Boxwood and something. Can't tell if the lighter shade on this truck is white or, if it's a lighter shade of green?
Boxwood & Wimbledon.
Of course, darker, solid colors of green look good too. ('69 Norway Green). Originally when I bought this truck, I wasn't too crazy about green but in five years of owning it, it's kinda grown on me. It's not a common shade of green you see just everywhere on these trucks.
