There is a speed pickup on each front wheel that measures wheel RPM (basically). The computer compares the two fron wheel sensors to the third sensor on the rear axle pumpkin to see that all are rotating the same speed. The ABS light comes on if one sensor is not working. Turn on the key and the light comes on. Start truck and the computer will check continuity thru the wires. The light goes out in 5 seconds. If the light does not go out, you have damaged the wire pins when plugging them together on the front wheels. If the light goes out, then drive the truck. The computer compares speeds when you get to 5 MPH or so. If the light comes on after that, then one of the front sensors is damaged and will not read right, but does have continuity.
