well i think that my video of me using my trick of connecting two wires to the motor terminals, and putting one wire to positive and one to ground, and then reversing them, to make the motor go in the other direction shows to me the motor is good, the power is good, and that it will go either way. ...
Correct. Your motor is fine. The issue is with one of the switches.

thoughts?
That is because you operated the switch in either direction with the motor connected so you passed the 12v power through the motor to your test light in either direction. That is why I suggested that you disconnect the motor for testing...
Does the wiring schematic help? It took me a while to figure it out myself (and even then it took some trial and error...). If you wish, PM me your cell number and I'll walk you through the schematic and how the switches work.

that there was my assumption as well. So i got a new passenger side switch... and guess what.. nothing works from the switch like it should.

yes the schematic helps. I may take you up on that depending on what my next options are.
i did yes, another video or two. of me using the new switch and direct links to the motor.. I think either the driver switch is the culprit at this point, or we have other issues with the wiring harness and that is a nightmare.
May buy a driver side switch set if you guys think it to be wise.

There is a way to test the wiring and switches but it means you'll have to use the schematic as a reference. In order to trouble shoot my passenger side window issue, I had to print the schematic twice and then use a highlighter to trace the circuits. Once I did that then it all made sense and I finally figured out how the system works.
At one point I thought the issue was with my driver's side switch bank and I was shopping around for a replacement...those things are expensive! I then later had a "duh" moment and realized that I had two more trucks in my drive way so I just swapped the driver's assembly from another truck. Didn't fix the issue so I then did the same thing for the passenger switch and the problem followed the switch so I knew that it was bad.
I'll be happy to give any help that I can over the phone if you would like...
ok i've reached the end of my knowledge without assistance.. i've tried both windows with brand new switches and have no changes. At this point, i think it may be a ground issue, and will definately have to take you up on the offer of assistance Shake-n-bake.
this is dumbfounded me. will take the new switches back so no worries there, but the motor will stay in the door most likely. I'll pm you for info Shake. Thanks againf or being so willing to help and what not. youve been a big help already!
took it to a mechanic.. they seem to think its the GEM module.. thoughts?
Did they look at the wiring diagram and come to that conclusion?
The GEM allows power to the switches....you tested and found power so the GEM is not your problem. If it were me, I would use a multimeter and verify that all the ground paths are good with the switches at rest. Then I would test for ground at the switched positions.....you have to do this with the key off or your readings will be faulty.
