Thanks. Everything is coming along well. I'm going to address the primed spots in the rear, then pain the bed liner oxford white.
I seafoamed the truck yesterday. Put 6.5 oz in the brake vacuum hose slowly and 6 oz in the crankcase (I put Techron in the gas tank). Waited 20 minutes. Started it up no problem but had zero white smoke and I mean zero. I drove it around for 15 minutes like everyone said but still didn't see anything. Maybe the synthetic oil it has been running the past year already fixed it? Idk. Kinda surprised me.
Cleaned up two holes and a scratch on the hatch and some exposed metal that was rusting. Did all of this today. It wasn't meant to be perfect, it's only meant to prevent further rust and make the truck look good from 10+ feet away. It doesn't have to be perfect at the moment
Great project and most wonderful color combo choice!
This most definitely does scare the crap out of me though! I sure hope my X never starts to peal and rust in random spots like that! Luckily it is mostly on the roof.
As for getting the over spray off the windows, the very best thing for cleaning glass is #000 steel wool with some spray lubricant. I use plain old windshield washer fluid for a lube. Takes everything off of glass!

Can't wait to see how it all comes along for you!
Thanks man. I haven't had any overspray on the glass yet. As for the roof, just follow my procedure and use brush on bedliner and then paint right over it. The stuff is indestructable.
I only did the rain channels, but you may want to do more
