Killer deal

Just purchased a 2002 F250 Crewcab superduty diesel from a guy. Truck is clean with 147,000 miles. Had a trans rebuilt 18 months ago. Came with a super chips programmer. Truck did need a glow plug control unit, but they are cheap. Very happy with this truck. $8500.00 Just got done installing my 5th wheel hitch, and now ready for riding season. My old beast is tired and my trailer is too heavy for old school diesel.

Any suggestions on this truck to watch for. So far so good. Pulling trailer in a couple of weeks. Running empty getting between 17 - 19 per gallon at 75 on the freeway.

Ford converted to the 6.0 in 2002 1/2. Is it a 6.0 or 7.3?

Don't believe there was ever a 2002 6.0L...first one was titled 2003. There were both 7.3s and 6.0s in the 2003 model, if I remember right.

Ford started using the 6.0 in 2003 worst year ever for that motor. 2002 still had the 7.3

2003 You could get either.

Congrats on the new truck. Looking forward to seeing some pics

As far as things to watch out for, there aren't many. The cam sensor goes out every now and then and they are prone to leak oil in the valley(looks like rear main seal leak if you are underneath the truck).
