Nerding out

A couple years back I purchased the torque app and an OBD Bluetooth adapter to play with. It was just before Christmas and I had forgotten to get my brother a gift so the adapter went to him. To make a long story short I immediately went to Mexico for 3+ months for work and was informed I was getting a divorce on the day I got back. So after relocating myself I tore my truck apart to fix my stretched head bolts ( head gaskets) and then a short term project turned into a very long, will it ever be done project.

Happily it is now a finished project that I'm thoroughly enjoying driving again. So now onto my real reason for posting this thread. (Sorry for the too long intro/background)

I've gotten another OBD adapter and been using torque on my phone which is great but it wouldn't work on my tablet, a Nook HD+. This bummed me out as the 9 inch screen makes some pretty nice viewable gauge screens. So tonight I rooted the nook and now it runs torque perfectly.

And so as we all pretty much know already it is so nice to have the extra data available.

I realize this is a pointless post but I was overwhelmed with joy and had to shout it out to the only group of people who might understand. ;-)

I hear you brother, I nerded all over myself when I got my DashBoss up and running on my iPad. The worst part of it is that no one seems to really get it, or care.... Accept us. So, this post is basically to validate your accomplishment. Sending a mighty "WhooHoo!" To you.

I'm using ScanguageII and it seems to do what I need but to each his own I always say; The good news that I take away from your post is that the 'witch is gone' so your problems are about over (: Now go enjoy your only real true love and take good care of her (which you undoubtedly will be better able financially to do....If you had a good lawyer that is) and she'll treat you right! Good Luck my Ford loving friend.
