Starts good put the more you drive it the worse it gets.
Almost stalling at stop signs etc.
No power going up hill.
Sounds ok when its sitting idling and runs not bad if it doesn't have to work.
Im not sure where to start , fuel or electricial?
No distributor problems for your vehicle but the TFI module could be causing issues especially since electrical components such as it get worse with heat but this is just a hunch, don't go out and buy one until you are sure that's the problem.
If it's mounted to the distributor body there is good chance of TFI module overheat issues but if it mounted elsewhere on the vehicle such as the fenderwell then i doubt it is the problem but you never know.
This did problem just start occurring or did you obtain the vehicle in this condition, do you know if the fuel filter has ever been replaced, lot's of simple things like that to check for restriction or all out clogged, have fun..
Aside from checking any obvious codes thrown, as indicated by the check engine light - service engine soon light or such, I'd begin with a simple tune up and then go from there.
To begin, inspect/clean or replace the air filter, inspect the spark plugs for signs of wear or other fouling trouble, clean the throttle body, clean the MAF sensor, use some fuel injector cleaner and replace the fuel filter if readily accessible and not an in tank filter. These efforts will not cost much, are not difficult to do yourself and will hopefully resolve the most common issues that cause an engine to not run smoothly.
Beyond that, it may be a throttle position sensor issue, but cleaning the air and fuel systems would be a simple, easy and affordable starting point. There's a good chance that your engine needs this anyway if you haven't done any of this before.
If you're unfamiliar with the process to do any of these recommendations, don't hesitate to do a search on You Tube. There are a lot of helpful videos there where mechanics walk through these common maintenance procedures.
The following may or not apply in your situation but are meant for information
You have S/D aka Speed Density EFI, S/D is controlled by a MAP sensor and does not need cleaning, you have no MAF sensor..
MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
MAF = Mass Air Flow
