Well tonight on the way home it started missing and cutting out untill it finally just died and here i set two miles from home which isnt bad waiting on the wife that is 30 min away. With her navigator and my pull to the house. Other then checking icp ipr and maybe cps. Is there anything else?
Thanks
Thanks Rich. I was hoping you where around. That will be my first look. might go turn the lights on and take it out right now. I did replace it with and ebay piece. I think. I usually right that kind of thing down but guess i skipped that one.
went out and pulled the plug no oil present in the electrical connection. Tried to start it and still a no go. Looks like tomorrow first thing out comes the IPR and disassemble and see if that stuck.
Thanks for any help and ideas anyone might have. I still have not done the Hutch mod. maybe I will tackle it tomorrow, but I wouldnt think that would be the issue the way it started cutting out and then died???????? I probably drove it close to 2 miles while it was cutting out before it actually stopped. Last time my IPR stuck it just stopped.
Looks like you have AE. Check engine oil level, then monitor voltage, rpm, icp psi, icp% (ipr) and injector pulse width. Also try running a koeo buzz test.

All right thank you all. Been at it this morning. amazing how light helps. Found a loose IPR tin nut. tightened it up. I had to crank it for quite awhile before it would start and it still sounds a little rough.
So my question is what happens when that comes loose? Does it allow air in the system?
Thanks again. AE would of been next after the IPR. I am still a little behind the curve on knowing what to look for and what AE is telling me. Even after Rich's class.
A loose IPR nut will not let ICP build, and it can conceivably allow air into the oil. I suspect that's not your issue now, but running it may clear it - or not. AE stuff:
Battery Voltage Engine RPMs Injector Control Pressure ICP Duty Cycle Fuel Injector Pulse Width
Those are the big 5 for starting. Set up those PIDs, then just hit the record button before cranking, and hit the stop button after the engine runs for a couple of minutes. If you record more than once, you need to change the file name before saving.
I am going to attempt it Rich, but I think when I was doing my homework however I saved it was not able to load it on my pc. wrong type of file or something. I am going to see if I can figure out how to save it to a thumb drive or something.
Im on it.
Just as I thought I am still trying to figure out how to get the info from there to here. I monitored the big 5 I wish I could say that I knew what I was looking at and would be able to tell if something was out of place but NOPE. Guess my old *** laptop will not read whatever file ae saves it as or what I am saving it as not sure. I will keep trying.
Battery Voltage 12.8 setting 11.4 start up 14.1 running
Engine RPM 650-715
ICP around 480 give or take
ICP Duty Cycle 14.48 start up 10.16 Majority of run time as low as 9.77 for a second every now and then
Fuel Inj Pulse Width 3.18 start up 2.10-2.30 during run time
