Good info. What about dentides? Any factory reds underhood?

My engine was a reddish color when I bought it. Although, the engine was rebuilt at some point. Been bored over .030

As far as I know all of Ford's engines in both the cars and truck were Ford engine blue all throughout the 70's. In the early/mid eighties they switched to Ford engine grey.

Although this is not directly Ford related it could be installed on a Ford truck. I found it rather amusing.

This truck is psycho. It's got correct trim and badging for a 73 outside, as it is promoted, but the inside, including the steering column, is 78-79 Free Wheeling Package, or Indy truck.

No. If you see a red motor under the hood of a dentside, that is not factory. The last year for factory red motors in a Ford pickup is 1964 AFAIK.
