He guys, I upgraded to the blue spring and everything was fine for a couple days. Now there is a loud buzzing coming from the fuel bowl, mostly sounds like from the cover for the spring. I searched and can't find anything. Has this happened to anyone? Did I screw up? Thanks,Jim
I have heard of it before. My guess is your spring got cocked sideways a bit when you put the cover back on. Take the cover off and make sure you got it all straight and try again.
You missed something somewhere... When I did mine, there was a plastic piece that wasn't needed. You'll need to pull the cover back off and inspect everything.
On the 03 and 04 models, there is an o-ring that is needed on the plastic piece before going in. That one confused the heck out of me when I did mine until I looked it up on the internet. I couldn't figure out where it went.... lol Mine is an 06, so I didn't need it.
Maybe you skipped that o-ring and that buzzing is because the plastic piece is vibrating against the brass piece? How many parts did you have left over? I'm just guessing.

Im not on a laptop right now or I would post the link...but go to youtube and do a search for blue spring tips dieseltechron. He has a great video with all the steps.
99Expy is correct. I had the same problem when I did mine. I left the oring off the plunger and it buzzed. I had to re-use the o-ring from the old plunger. The one supplied in the kit would not fit my housing.

I ended up using the old one also. Gauge is sitting right at 69/70. No more buzzing sound. Thanks man.
Did anyone notice the giant pile of FICM'S in the green box in the background???
Dieseltechron rebuilds those FICM's and sells them on eBay I think his name is RonH12. If you go to a Dealership and your FICM is bad, I don't think they give you the option of rebuilding it. They just replace it with a new FICM. So Ron must get dibs on these and takes them home?
Anyway, he sells them for cheap on eBay after he rebuilds them. I'm pretty sure his wife is modeling the FICM...It's kind of corny if you ask me. Yeah, I know, nobody is asking... LMAO
It probably gets a lot of clicks. Smart marketing I guess!
