Exhaust on 96 5.0

Truck is a 96' 5.0...... Right now it's got the pacesetter shorty headers, custom y pipe into a si/so dynomax bullet, exiting I just past the cab on the passenger side. All piping is 3" with a 5" tip. My main question is if there is a big difference between shories and long tubes. Any suggestions or thoughts on this set up?

right now I've got the pacesetter shortys from summit and they fit very well. But summit only offers hedman long tubes for my 96. this is my exhaust set up now.

this is the view of both headers but mainly the passenger side, you can see the starter.

I have duals until this y pipe which is underneath where my bench seat would be. then it goes into the si/so dynomax bullet

Just keep in mind you have a small V8 that probably rates at about 150hp. Nothing you can do will make a dramatic change. I doubt if you'll see much difference between the long tubes and shorties.

Keep in mind this isn't the truck 5.0 its out of a gt mustang, full exhaust, k&n, tuned, and ignition upgrades. Stock specs for my truck is 200hp on the truck motor. I've also dropped 400+ lbs off to and an old drag trick is 10hp for every 100lbs. Im around 220 at least. I can run with our 4 1st gen lightnings without a problem.
