65 econoline insurance
hey guys, my names Dennis this is my first post and i am going to look at my potential first econoline panel van tomorrow after work. It is a 1965 with the (i think) 170 straight six and i was just curious if anyone could give me some ideas of what they pay for insurance? my insurance said they couldnt give me a quote until i can get the vin and the mileage tomorrow, i know everyones is different based on a million different thing but i am a male 29yrs with a good driving record if that helps. i assume they are pretty low cost in the insurance department but thought i would try to get an idea ahead of time. also any specific things i should watch out for or stay away from when i go look at it tomorrow? thanks ahead of time everyone

Don't try to "cheap out" on insurance coverage. The required minimums for your state are for liability - the damages and/or injuries, property damage that result because of your fault or negligence. Antique coverage is for seldom driven cars and trucks - be sure that is what you need. With all that said, especially if you bundle your other cars and homeowners policy together through the same agent you will have good coverage against liability and personal injury well in excess of the "minimums" and at reasonable rates. What happens in a worst case scenario in an accident that's your fault, the insurance co. Writes a check for the limits of the policy, and they are done with it. Then, the other guys go after YOU. in this day and age a few days in the hospital will crater a basic "minimum" policy. Hope this helps.
