Considering selling my baby... Thoughts?
Hey guys... So I love my truck, but here lately she's been nickle and diming me... I've been thinking long and hard and at this point in my life, I feel like it's time to let her go and find something newer. My biggest complaints are how loud it is inside the truck going down the highway... That engine roar (not the exhaust, just the under the hood roar) is pretty difficult to carry a conversation over... Plus I don't like that it doesn't have ac, power windows and doors, and it rides like a buckboard (the lift and tires helped, but not much). I just feel like if I'm gonna put money into stuff like performance parts, I should do it on a truck that I can still enjoy the comfort and luxury too. Plus with the wife's fibromyalgia, it actually hurts her to go on drives over an hour long. So I guess the point of this post is to see what you guys think I should ask for it. It's only got 158k miles and there's no serious mechanical problems, just little here and there things like broken sensor connectors and such (fuel pressure gauge and water temp gauge). I just dropped about $2000 on the lift and tires, plus I've spent at least another $1200 on other upgrades like the chip, intake, exhaust, gauges, things like that. I live in NY, but the trucks a Cali truck so there's zero rust, and it looks a thousand times better than all the other OBS trucks around here, so I really don't know. I've been tossing around the idea of starting at $9k and going from there... Anyone have any ideas comments or suggestions?

I bought a Saturn compact sedan so that I could keep my OBS off of the road. That way, I can devote some garage time to it without problems stacking up due to driving it. I love my new (to me) Saturn. It's cake to work on and parts are so ridiculously cheap compared to the truck. Also, the fuel economy is awesome.
I can totally see why somebody would want to get rid of their truck and go with something that's more affordable to maintain and drive. You've gotta do what you've gotta do, but remember: if you do get rid of your truck, that doesn't mean that you can't hang out on here still.

Honestly I'd like to see it go to someone who has the same passion for these trucks and not someone that will run it into the ground. That's why I figured I'd feel it out here first. It's not perfect by any means, but for a 20 year old truck, she's pretty nice.
