I was thinking about purchasing a pass for my work commute. Is it reliable enough for work?
The math shows that there is a small fuel savings with the pass, plus I'm sure I can dig of some other discounts. The savings is only calculating fuel. I will have to allot more time for commuting though, but if I'm not doing anything on that commute I'm not opposed to that. There is a station near my work, walkable if you cut through some commercial business parks (using roads, no fence hopping).
i havent taken it for work but my wife worked with a few people who do and for the most part they do just fine, about once or twice a year at most. The only issue is if you have to work none regular hours meaning if you have to work over time or stay late some days it becomes an issue.
They have free wifi, but often slow as molasses. You can nap or catch up on other things while you ride. Very friendly staff & fun to see another side of LA.
