Shop Time

Can anybody give me and approx. time of the labor hours a repair shop should charge to replace an egr cooler and two injectors? Any response would be appreciated. Thanks

you should replace the Oil Cooler if you have EGR Cooler issues

your probably looking at 2000-2500 coin to do this this is Only a Guess

Benny's correct. Bad egr cooler = bad oil cooler. Don't procrastinate or the repairs will escalate.

It has been a long time since I have done just an oil cooler, but I would guess it should be about 5 hours of labor. The injectors would be about 3 hours if on the same bank.

Like the other guys said, the oil cooler should be replaced with the egr cooler. To do both coolers and the coolant flush, etc should run around 12 hours.

If you have the proper tools, which is nothing more than sockets, torx bits, extensions and to make things easy, air tools and swivel sockets, then this job can be accomplished by yourself. It will save a good bit of coin.
